The Erasmus program was developed to promote international cooperation among universities. It is a program that provides mutual exchange of students and faculty members and enables academic recognition of the studies in the countries participating in the program and the grades received. Erasmus student exchanges are made between the member and candidate countries of the European Commission and Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein.

There are two Erasmus coordinators in the Civil Engineering Department. These two co-ordinators are: (1) conducting interviews with the applicants, (2) providing support for course selection for incoming and outgoing students, (3) signing and approving a learning agreement (LA), (4) implementing adaptations of returning ITU students, (6) conducts the task of connecting to universities for bilateral agreements.

Students are required to choose one of these two faculty members for the Erasmus meetings and to make an appointment by going to their office during the Erasmus interview or by sending an e-mail.

The way students follow the Erasmus program is briefly given below:

• Students apply to İTÜ Erasmus Office. Detailed information about the conditions required for the students and the procedure to be followed can be obtained from İTÜ Erasmus office or web page (http://www.eucentre.itu.edu.tr/).

• Students submit a list of the schools they want to go with their application documents to the Erasmus office. Erasmus student selections are made by the Erasmus office according to the selection criteria described in the Erasmus Handbook.

• The foreign language interview is carried out by the coordinators of the Construction Department and the results are reported to the Erasmus office. Placement is made taking into consideration the points taken from other criteria.

• The selected Erasmus Candidate Student List is announced by the ITU Erasmus Office in the related web site.

Students who want to get detailed and up-to-date information on the Erasmus program should go to the Erasmus office on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 14:00 to 16:00.

You need to look at the ITU ERASMUS web page to get the most up to date list. The table below is for information purposes and is constantly updated on  ITU ERASMUS web page.

****İngiltere:İngiltere Vizesi için gerekli dil koşulunun mutlaka araştırılması gerekmektedir. Zira, vize için ToEFL veya IELTS puanı istenmektedir.
